Full moons. Jack o’ lanterns. Ghosts, witches, and black cats; it’s Halloween again, and to celebrate the holiday, we thought we would go back to last year’s beautiful styled shoot featuring our favors and invitations to relive all of its dark glamor!
Designed by Lesley Britt of LB Floral, this shoot was an attempt to redefine what a wedding could be. By trading whites and ivories for tones of gray and black, Lesley wanted to merge the concept of a traditional wedding with the aesthetic of the spooky season, explaining, “This is a glam and glittery Halloween wedding design. I tried to keep it chic and clean but threw in a little hint of goth here and there. I chose a grey lace dress to have something a little different than the normal white, and it perfectly complemented the florals I designed! The Standard provided a beautiful backdrop for this shoot with a little bit of a mussed feel, and the teals beautifully contrasted with the darker colors used in the accessories.”
Against the stunning textured industrial walls of The Standard, the model, clad in an awe-inspiring gray lace dress and accessories from The Gilded Gown, assumed the air of a witch, channeling all varieties of mystery and intrigue. Even her hair and makeup, flawlessly styled by Southern Sirens, cast a darkly Victorian spell.
Beneath a gorgeous arbor from Event Rentals by Rothchild adorned by Britt’s beautiful arrangements and surrounded by seasonal décor, the idea that this could be a real wedding begins to emerge. As Chastidyi of Star Noir Studio snapped each terrific photo, it became clear to all of us that we were not merely creating a styled shoot, but a dream wedding for the right couple—one that is a little eccentric and off the beaten path, to be sure, but also strikingly unique and with a style all its own.
