Affordable NYE Table Decorations that WOW!
For this inspiration shoot the designers at Custom Love Gifts wanted to showcase the glitz and glamour of New Years Eve decorations using three different budgets- one for a high end affair, one for a mid range party, and one for a low budget gathering. Today we will focus on our mid-priced table party decorations.
White Table provided New Years Eve inspired linens with gold on black details and I was totally in love with the theme. To create the feel of a luxe event, the DIY New Year’s Eve décor focused on a mix of precious metal colors and a little dash of sparkly details on a black backdrop as dark as midnight. What better view for a night on the town than the skyline of Knoxville as seen from the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame showcased by floor to ceiling windows.
To stay on budget for the mid priced table scape, rental items were used in place of a floral centerpiece. This recreation of the ball drop in Times Square was designed with a mirror ball rental from Campbell Tent Rental and a glass vase flanked by small floral arrangements from Melissa Timm Designs. Since our shoot was in Knoxville, TN I was stoked that the centerpiece reminded me of the Sunsphere at World’s Fair Park. Full disclosure- even though I designed it I hate the numbers going down the side of the glass. Maybe if they were smaller and fit 1 through 10 on the same side I would change my tune but as is I think it cheapens the look. You live and you learn.
I love love love the metallic dipped votives and champagne glasses. These were such a fun and easy craft to personalize our decor. I used masking tape to cover half of the glass and metallic spray painted the rest. So easy. If I could do it all over again I would use a clear coat to protect the paint because it came off anytime candles or glasses touched each other. As a precaution I never painted any surface of the glass that would touch lips while drinking. I created sequins topped wine-infused pancake syrup favors, which make the for the perfect New Year’s Day breakfast. Each place setting included Cake Cocktails, a mini martini glass cupcake dessert from Gail’s Custom Cakes. Break the Mold Photo caught all that shimmers and glitters in perfect light.
Whether you are on a budget of dollars or diamonds, the perfect New Years Eve party décor is within your reach, just add glitter!
