A Rustic Lavender Wedding in the Smoky Mountains

Sarah and Robert were married at The Barn at Chestnut Springs. They had a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony with their closest family and friends. Their love could be felt with just one glance at Robert when he was tearing up during the ceremony. They decided to do a first look which resulted in the first of many happy tears from both the groom and the bride. After seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day they wanted to read the vows that they had written for each other in private. Their vows were very important to the couple and they wanted to have a chance to hear what the other had written without anyone else around and without any distractions.

The couple showed their personality through their wedding when they brought their corgi! Having their dog there resulted in lots of pictures showing off their puppy love! Their wedding was decorated with flowers in shades of purple and with greenery. Their arbor was beautifully decorated with Lilac and greenery. The Lilac used here was hand picked from their florists own personal garden. These colors were carried out throughout their entire wedding through their flowers. As they stood underneath that arbor starting their lives together you could see the love in their eyes and the joy in their smiles.

At their wedding reception Sarah and Robert chose to play the shoe game to get their guests laughing and to prepare them for a night of fun and celebration. Questions like “Who is the better driver?” and “Who takes the longest to get ready?” got the couple in the spotlight and provided their guests with a few good laughs. Their guests spent the night dancing and celebrating the newlyweds. The couple allowed their personality to show again when they chose to cut a cupcake instead of a traditional wedding cake. Over at the large stone fireplace they had a s’mores station were many of their younger guests spent most of their night filling up on chocolate and marshmallows! Sarah and Roberts personality and love could truly be seen in every aspect of their wedding. The couple and their guests had an amazing day celebrating the start of their new lives together!
